Welcome to VintagePreneur University…I’m so happy you are here!

Whether you are brand new and don’t even have a shop yet or you have a shop but can’t seem to figure out what to do or how to actually sell CONSISTENTLY…you are in the right place!

A little about me…

About 8 years ago I was out antique shopping with my family in old town Temecula, CA. I don’t remember when the idea came to me, but I do know for sure I was thinking about having a vintage business at that point because I remember telling my dad that I wanted to own my own vintage business.

I didn’t really know what that meant at the time, I just had a desire inside me to do it. I’ve always been attracted to vintage and antiques and all the character and history in each amazing piece {sound familiar πŸ˜‰ }?

Plus, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial bug inside me! I made up businesses and invented things in my mind from the time I was a kid…though never moved forward with anything. Until I opened my Etsy shop!

It was 2013 and we had moved out of our apartment and condo living and into our first single family home. It was small and it was a rental, but for the first time I really was determined to make that rental feel like a home through home decor.

I started upcycling furniture and other items…I’ve always loved being creative. The very first thing I put in my Etsy shop was a set of three vintage drawer pulls that I painted/upcycled. The front picture was dark and unclear…my titles and tags and item description were…well, not good.

I can’t believe I’m even showing you this, but I want you to completely understand that we all start at ZERO…can you even tell what these are {face palm}?

I never sold those drawer pulls :).

It’s not at all surprising, I was new and had no idea what I was doing. I’ve learned a bit in my five+ years on Etsy!

I’ve learned not only HOW to sell on Etsy, but how to SCALE my Etsy business and make money! Hint: it’s not by selling upcycled items.

It’s OK to want to make money…don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise! πŸ™‚ It’s good to have other reasons and goals- but making money doing something you love and on your own terms is what is going to get you what you are probably after…what I was after. More time with your family. More flexibility. Not having to feel guilty about taking your kids to a doctor appointment or being with them when they are sick- that was THE WORST! NEVER AGAIN!

I have to admit tho, my current goals > hiring a housekeeper. I could do it now but I have a place in my mind that I want to get to first.

Whatever your goals…we are going to get you there!

Happy Cha Chinging!
